The Surgery

The Surgery is an International Medical Clinic providing quality health care in the centre of Kampala. The practice was originally established in the 1940’s and follows a long line of British Expatriate General Practitioners. The current proprietor Dr. Stockley became medical director in 1998.

The Surgery is based on the General Practice model as followed by Britain, Canada and many other European countries.

Our International team of GP’s and Family Physicians are trained in all areas of medicine and all common problems especially in general and tropical medicine, paediatrics, obstetrics, gynaecology, psychiatry and minor surgery.

This 24 hour medical facility includes ambulance Service, emergency room, in-patient care, laboratory services, maternity and delivery services, immunization, general practice and family medicine. The Surgery is the preferred provider for international insurance companies, airlines, embassies and NGO’S in Uganda, and provides tropical and travel medical care and advice for tourist and visitors.

Registering as a patient

You do not need to register as a patient prior to attending our clinic, you can just walk in or phone ahead and make an appointment.

Payment

Payment is accepted in local currency shillings. We also currently accept Dollars, Euros and Pounds, cash or travellers cheques and UK sterling cheques.

Payments through Insurance is on a pre approval basis, please speak to the Practice Administrator
