Cryosurgery
@ The Surgery
For the removal of:
. warts,
. age spots,
. skin tags,
. and many more skin lesions.
This procedure is self-anesthetising,
with no needle required.
How can my wart be
removed?
Warts can be removed in a
number of ways. One way is called cryosurgery (freezing the wart). This
2-step process removes the wart without hurting the skin around
it. A probe-like tool is use to treat the affected areas. A
very cold gas similar to liquid nitrogen is pumped through the probe.
This causes a localized area of "frost bite" killing the
frozen cells.
What happens next?
After 2 days the wart will
probably blister, then scab or mummify and may even drop off. In
most cases the hard dead skin needs to be scraped off, and
repeat a blast of cryosurgery a week or two later to freeze the
base (root) of the wart.
What are the benefits
of cryosurgery?
Cryosurgery is very effective
and is less expensive than other treatments. It can be done in your
health care provider's office and anesthesia is not necessary.
