Room @ The Surgery .Our
purpose built Emergency Room (ER) @ The Surgery is equipped
with the following;
. Defibrillator
. Oxygen
. ECG
. Cardiac Monitor
. Airway and Intubation Equipment
. Nebulizer
. Plaster cast and splints for broken limbs
. Ultrasound Machine and Radiologist
. Doppler
. Emergency Drugs
. Blood collection, cross-match, and transfusion
. Infusion Equipment

| We
routinely deal with a wide range of emergencies, including major
trauma and multiple injuries; acute medical problems such as
renal colic, coronaries, severe malaria, meningitis; acute surgical
and obstetric emergencies such as appendicitis, intestinal obstruction,
heamorrhage, ectopic pregnancies; peadiatric emergencies such
as severe respiratory infections, asthma.
After resuscitation the patient
can either be admitted in our own in-patient beds or transferred
to an appropriate consultant for surgery or other specialist
care. When necessary we can organize medivac out of country
by air ambulance using AMREF.
